Into The Woods
PHOTOGRAPHY / 3 MIN
An experiment in light painting and image processing to create the illusion of fluid motion in a series of still photographs.
The effect of motion is created solely through the placement of lights, and transitioning between different exposures of the same subject. No masking, special effects or animation were used (aside from some subtle position and scale keyframing). It might look a bit like time lapse, but it isn’t. Only 125 frames were used, as opposed to the 4500 odd frames you’d need for a 3 minute time lapse.
